In the app
- Open Memora and go to Settings.
- Tap your profile (your name or email) at the top.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you’re signed out on every device. You can keep using Memora as a guest.
By email
Can’t open the app, or no longer have your phone? Email privacy@memorashelf.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Memora account”. We’ll confirm and delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, include your relay address. You’ll find it on your iPhone under Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Memora.
What gets deleted
- Your email address and name
- Your password (stored only as a hash)
- The Apple or Google account ID you signed in with
- All your sign-in sessions, on every device
- The link between your account and your devices
What we keep, and for how long
- A de-identified account record (a random ID, plan history and dates), so billing history stays consistent. It no longer identifies you.
- Payment records, as long as tax and accounting law requires. Stripe keeps its own records under its privacy policy.
- Look-up logs and device records, which carry only a random device ID created by the app, never your name, email or the text you sent. They’re kept while needed to run and secure the service.
The privacy policy has the details.
Your subscription
Deleting your account cancels any active Pro subscription right away, so you won’t be charged again. Payments already made aren’t refunded automatically; see the terms. A Lifetime purchase is tied to the account and ends with it.
Cards on your phone
Your cards, notes and search index live on your phone, not with us, so deleting your account doesn’t remove them. To remove them too, open Settings → More → Delete all Memora data, or delete the app. Your screenshots and photos stay in your photo library either way.
